About the author: Heather Burch grew up in Branson Missouri, where she learned to love fiction. She then married into a family of published novelists and quickly learned writing was her heart's desire. When she's not working on her latest book, Heather can be found watching a sunset at a beach near her home in southern Florida, along with her son's Jake and Isaac and husband John- who is her hero in every way.



My review:
Running...the fence... the wolves. Voices.
And deep, blue green eyes. Cerulean blur. The color of the glistening Mediterranean Sea capturing the sun's reflection. Even as she remembered the horror, her heart calmed,imagining those pools of safety. And a face attached to those eyes. Angular. Strong.

Rich words had rolled of hos tongue. "You're safe now,daughter of man." Than all had faded,except those round, cerulean eyes. No other shade on her artist's palette captivated her like cerulean. And no other eyes captivated her at all.

Nikki Youngblood:
Nikki is a brave soul, to be chased by hellhounds and talk back to them she has balls.
"What?. You afraid I might pop the cork on a bottle of screaming bell song again?". That girl is insane. If it was me I would have screamed bloody murder.
I love how Nikki gets under Raven's skin. I would so do that to Raven if I was her. Wait I already act like that towards my friend Jared. And I gotta say I love it.
Nikki to Raven. Nikki tried to fight a goofy grin.
"What now?"Raven asked
"Sorry,it's just that you were so busy puffing out your man chest,I was afraid you might burst"
I love how she acts around Mace. They are meant to be. That is why I'm team Mace.
It's amazing how all this time Nikki never new she was a Seer. And how she does it is by drawing. I wish I was a Seer but what good could I do. No one would believe me. I mostly want to be a Seer so I can draw good. :)
I was so glad that Nikki stopped Raven from kissing her. Yeah I do like Raven but she's better off with Mace. Even tho Mace isn't teaching Nikki to fight. He just cares that she doesn't get hurt. See Raven wants Nikki to fight and not look at Mace as a knight in shining armor. Raven is just jealous that Nikki likes Mace more than she likes Raven. Even tho she does like him.
I hate how Mace and Nikki can't be together. All because of their stupid rules. It sucks they can only be friends. It's hard to be friends with someone your in love with.
I feel so bad that Bo died. Poor Nikkei. I would be crushed like she is if my dog died.
"I am your match, but your not mine" I can't believe Nikki had said that to Mace. It broke his heart. It broke my heart. Mace loves her and she loves him.
I was surprised that Nikki let Raven kiss her. But I can understand that she's hurting about Mace. But she shouldn't have kissed him. Yes she has feelings for him too but Mace is the one fir her. Well in my opinion anyways.
Poor Nikki losing her parents. Just when she thought her night couldn't get worse it did. Damon had no right to empty her house. I was glad and surprised that she decided to go to Will. She made a good choice.


Mace:
Is the prefect guy, he would do anything for Nikki when he isn't suppose to. He is the sweet guy and I would love to be with him. Having a guy with cerulean blue eyes would be perfect.
"I'm floating in a pool of green blue water drawn from the Mediterranean Sea. You know what? The water is perfect" exactly what I would say to a guy with those eyes. Poor Mace. Seeing his brother kiss the girl he loved. It must have killed him. It must kill Jim that he can't have her. I feel for you Mace.

Raven:
He's more of the bad boy that your parents warned you about but you still would go with him because he's dangerous. I know I would ;). He isn't just a bad boy he's also a player. Which isn't good to have in a guy trust me. I know. Raven I think would be just a good friend to have. If he ever wanted friends. Guys like him are better off staying in the friend zone. Or just being flirting buddies. I have a friend named Jared who is just like Raven, it isn't even funny, hell I would think Heather had met Jared and based Raven off of him. Because they are so much alike. :) Poor Raven. Falling for a girl he can't have and also falling towards the dark side. Be strong Raven. I'm counting on you to stay strong.

Vine:  "I'm not a man. Exactly,. But I'm not an angel either. Trapped halfway between, where do I fit? Oh, yeah, nowhere"
The newbie, the sweet little brother who you would just want to pinch his cheeks and call him your baby brother. Love Vine he would be the perfect little brother for me. I like him, even though he's the newbie he still knows what to do for his missions. He can also be a smartass.
Raven- She's definitely no normal teenage girl
Vine- Why Raven? Because she didn't fall all over herself when you strutted into the school.
I hate how Raven treats Vine. He thinks that since he's the newbie that he can't handle himself. Like date an earth girl. But Raven is probably just jealous that Vine also gets the girls to look at him. Raven hates that he doesn't have all the girls looking at him. But that's just my opinion.
Vine soy guy. Instead of going to some dance he goes yo the candy store. I'm with you there buddy. Candy is better than some stupid homecoming dance.

Mace- Do you know much about the holocaust or about Hitler?
Nikki- Not much. Hitler was trying to create a race or super humans,an Aryan nation. Blonde hair, blue eyes.
Mace- Not create exactly. Hitler was searching for Halflings. He wanted to build an unstoppable army of half humans, and even used genetic testing.
Makes me wonder if Hitler actually did use Halflings for his army. Hmmm

I don't think that it's fair that there are not many female angels. I can understand that males are stronger and can fight. But so can us girls. Hell I can fight. So why can't I be an angel warrior?
I was surprised to find out that Dr. Richmond use to work at Omega Corporation.
The three new Halflings I wasn't liking. But now they seem okay. Vegan and Winter seem alright. It just Glimmer I don't like. Only cause she's got eyes for Mace. Mace is Nikki's. Not hers. Even tho they can't be together I still want them to only have eyes for each other.
I can't believe that Damon Vessler is Nikki's godfather. Shocker.
I love this book it was very good. A must read.
