This episode takes place in Hattiesburg Mississippi. A mother drops her daughter Gabbi off at her sisters, Sue. The mother did because she was going on a cruise. Sue put Gabbi in the car to help her fall asleep. She stops at a gas station to get a few things. Leaves Gabbi in the car since she was asleep. Sue walked back out to the car and seen Gabbi was gone. Sue was only in the gas station for 4 minutes. The team has 24 hours to bring Gabbi back alive. Someone wearing a dark jacket grabbed a bag out of the car and threw it in the river.
It is said that a footprint isn't too small to leave a print in this world.
The team thinks that Gabbi's father is the one who took her. They find Doug's truck and that he was picked up in a black van. Same one seen at the gas station. JJ talks to the neighbor and she said she had seen a van the other day. The found that the van belonged to Ian Little. They brought him in. He had burns on his face. The found where he had been the last three days. Cops found the body bag and it was the father Doug.
The team finds out that Sue and Ian had been talking. The seen a cut on her hand. The see the surveillance video from the gas station. It shows Sue stopping and walking back towards the car before she went inside. Ian tells the team that he brought Doug over to Sue's house so he could see Gabbi. Sue grabbed a candle holder and hit Doug with it twice. Second time it broke and it cut her hand. Hotch tells Sue she will never be a good mother. Sue attacks Hotch.
They send Kate to talk to Sue. Sue tells Kate that Kate's father raped her and that Gabbi is gone. Garcia finds out that Sue went to the library and got online and gave Gabbi away to another couple. Garcia finds out that it happened to another child. Gabbi is alive and with the couple. There is two other kids in the car. They changed her name to Carly.
They find the two women who responded to Sue' s post. Arrested both women and found the three kids. Gabbi was returned back to her mom.
This episode was kinda sad. Well the ending was I had to try and not cry.
Next episode is about people living under the street of Las Vegas.
