About the author: I write full time and love being involved with groups that promote books! Writing about the Halflings has been the most exciting writing journey of my life! Before novels, I wrote teen curriculum published in both the U.S. and Asia Pacific.

My review: so Nikki is finally with Mace but she isn't the same innocent girl that Mace first fell in love with. She is different since she found out that she was a halfling. Raven wants to protect t Nikki from the seeker. Raven wants to take Nikki away but Mace doesn't Think she is in trouble since Will hasn't sensed anything.
The seeker has already killed three people. Raven had to take Nikki away to keep her safe. The others stayed behind to fight. Raven had taken Nikki to France to hide in the tunnels. So the seeker would catch Nikki's scent. Once they get to the tunnel they meet Dane who takes them to his older brother Frank who is a Xian and a Seer.
Nikki is my idol because she proves to the men that women are strong and can't fight their own battles. The seeker tracks Nikki's blood. That why the seeker killed Deux, Peux, and Tronc because she had bled when she fought Deux.
A seeker hunts by the person's blood and shreds them up to try and get their soul. Which they never can because the soul is already taken.
Raven is still hoping that Nikki will leave Mace for him. But Nikki doesn't want to be with Raven. She is Mace' s match. How cute is it that Vine has a crush on Glimmer. But Glimmer has a crush on Raven. Two Love triangles going on here. Raven, Nikki and Mace; Vine Glimmer, and Raven. Nikki just can't get a break. Hellhounds are also after her. Luckily Mace, Vine,Glimmer and Winter showed up to kill the hounds so Nikki and Raven could leave before the seeker found her.
Raven had finally told Nikki that he tricked her with the faith ball. Nikki now saw that Mace was the try guy who was helping her. Not Raven.
As Nikki got ready to leave the church the seeker showed up. Mace, Vine, Glimmer and Winter showed up to fight it. Raven went to help. Nikki saw Glimmer get hurt and tried to help but the seeker cut Nikki. Poisoning her to turn her dark. There was no way to save her besides prayer and hope and faith. Raven was crushed that Nikki might not make it. He had taken her to a waterfall because the seeker can't find Nikki behind water.
The only thing that makes Nikki happy is Mace. And to keep Nikki from turning Raven asks Nikki to talk about Mace and how happy he makes her. Poor Raven. I bet that had to hurt him. Don't worry Raven I'll be your girl ;)
Mace had shown up to where Nikki and Raven were. Nikki had a dream and knows how to kill the seeker. But if Raven and Mace try to help she will die. Nikki had beat the Seeker. She used her words saying she wasn't afraid. Nikki had finally gotten her wings. And they are Red. Raven confesses to Nikki that he loves her but he knows Mace is her match. Raven also believes that Dr. Richmond is the one in danger.
Mace wants to leave the battle with Nikki and live a normal life. But Nikki won't she wants to end Vessler.
Nikki had moved back to Missouri with the others. She doesn't want anyone to know about her wings yet. Vegan gave her a new necklace. I thought it was funny when Nikki blew into it Glimmer came running. Messing her nail polish up. Zero had been taken by one of Vessler's men. He was poked and proded and even beaten. He tried so hard to remember Vegan and her scent.
Gotta live Zero and his smart remarks. I was almost in tears when Zero held Nikki in his lap and he talked to her. I almost cried when Nikki had died. I almost cried when I thought Raven was dead. I'm just so glad that everyone is alive. Heather don't scare me like that. Not nice. But this was a very good series. I loved it. The best Angel story of all. Thank you for trapping me in this world. I loved it.
